Vancouver Court Ruling from the Vancouver Sun Newspaper Vancouver Canada (AP) -A seven year old boy was at the center of a Vancouver courtroom drama yesterday when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of him.

The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge
initially awarded custody to his aunt, in keeping with the child custody law and regulations requiring that family unity be maintained to the degree possible. The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his aunt beat him more than his parents and he adamantly refused to live with her.

When the judge suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy cried out that they also beat him.

After considering the remainder of the immediate family and learning
that domestic violence was apparently a way of life among them, the judge took the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose who should have custody of him.

After two recesses to check legal references and confer with child
welfare officials, the judge granted temporary custody to the "Vancouver Canucks", whom the boy firmly believes are not capable of beating anyone.

Now there is a family that is more physical than the Canucks, truly sick that family is.

Sure but what happened the last time the Canucks met the Habs? Forgotten already?

Never mind what did happen one time...what USUALLY happens?

Pay him no mind Mick...beating the Habs happens so seldom that Canuck fans have to make an issue of it whenever it DOES!

Go Habs go!

Sad to say but it looks as though the 'nucks are out of the post-season (again)! I hope Nonis seizes the opportunity to dump Bertuzzi and Sad-Sack Naslund in order to free up some cash and buy some young hungry guns!

I was at the Canucks-Oilers game on March 23, the one they won in the shootout. Can't explain how the same team could play so well in one game and then....

Or... it was the Edmonton Chicago game tonight that put the final seal on any chance the Canucks had for a post season. I thought it was time to let Crow go the year Detroit pushed us out in the first round and went on to win the cup but then... they kept Cloutier around so what do I know.

Hey the Canucks backed into the playoffs in 1994 too remember! 9-11 in their last 20 games that season, 41-40-3 record with 85 points. It's what you do in the playoffs that gets remembered!

Mick, I was there too on March 23rd and that's when I converted to Oilerism. Did you really think they were great that night?!

Very good in the first and third periods,Frenchie, but awful in the second period, and awesome in the shootout. Btw, no way Ryan Smyth scored in the shootout...

I was up in the nosebleeds, so didn't get a good view but after that long of wait, were there any other options?

Indeed, this was the ONE game where he didn't screw up!
Not a Jovo fan...can you tell?

Crawford is a capable coach; remember his time with the Av's? I think his hands are tied in a lot of respects when it comes to getting rid of the players who don't perform consistently.
Bertuzzi is a shell of his former self, although he shows moments of brilliance from time to time.
He and Nazzie would be best suited to the NY Rangers, who have no issues with Superstar paycheques.

Lol, Longshadow!

What's going on in hockey this weekend? Did the Canucks win? Did the Oilers lose?

Ohhh i thought it was a hiking joke, sorry Canucks i get it. I think the Canucks are a fine bunch of guys who are only making millions for playing hockey, Where is their incentive for pushing themselves?, they just wanna have fun out there like kids in pee wee.
I would bet money that the Canucks wont win a Stanley Cup in my lifetime, but that may be cut short by some fans for saying that,
