| So if the stuff is brand new with tags then why not return them for what you purchased them for? Are they knock offs or are they stolen? |

dear time2climb
I am a visitor from Korea
I bought all of them with my hard earned money for myself except TNF jackets which I recieved as presents.
Most of them are bought recently and were good deals.
I usually do not buy those deulux gears paying extra money except for down products, for I had served my military duty for over two years and learned to survive from harsh situation without any luxarious gears.
But I have to say, I am just a fragile man and, high-quality gears does help a lot in harsh weather, so I bought some of the stuff during my visit here in vancouver.
I am just a man who loves mountain but do not have any gears for high mountain, for we do not have high ones in Korea(we do have very cold winter) and I decided to go to some of the rocky mountains before I leave.
I do not want to sell my old gears which I bring everywhere and had protected me well, and few would buy them anyway since they are very old(but still working).
These new gears are the ones that I can not return them for it has been too late, so I decided to trade my new gears for what I need.
I hope I answer you question
if you have more question write me anytime.
wish you well

On one hand, you say this is new gear, with the tags still on, in fact. Then you say it's too late to return it. There isn't a store in town that wouldn't allow you to return recently purchased, new gear with the tags still on. Since you favour verbose quotes, allow me to offer one that's older than yours, and likely far more suitable to the occasion:

That said, if I'm wrong, and by some inconceivable turn of events you're actually quite innocent in having come into possession of said items, my humblest apologies! |

when i went to new zealand i bought a couple extra ice screws (much cheaper here than there) and sold em down there as a trip finance trick...
why is it wrong for hawk to buy some gear cheap in korea and sell it here for more than he paid but less than retail here? which is what it reads to me he's doing. |

Allright... I'm not trying to excuse the guy or be on his side but I just want to let you know how intimidating all of you can be at times. Because once you guys get started on something, you just can't give up! Yeah, it took me quite a while to post for the first time and this is the reason why. How many more of these comments do we need? Two or three, I get the idea. More than that? It's a bit much...
Thanks for listening

Then you missed the part where he said they were purchased in Vancouver. He also said they were his gears. Not many people I know fit into that many different sizes.

Sounds like someone is trying to give somebody the gears.
Or sell the gears, as the case may be (even if it does sound a bit suspicious).

| I must agree with Snowseeker. First, none of us on clubtread know this fellow, all anyone really knows about "anyone" is what that person chooses to share. Hawk did say he is from Korea. Well the only odd article he lists as far as sizes is the tekware pants(sizexl). The pants could be a lady's fit? It isn't too far fetched for a Korean male to have a size 8.5 foot is it? Every other piece hawk listed is small-medium, and he did say he was a "fragile" man, which in my mind would indicate he is smaller in stature. As Snowseeker said, far too often there are those on this forum that feel it their right to be judge, jury, or the only one with an opinion worth listening to. It is possible what T2C alludes to is correct, however to assume this man is a thief with out proof is simply talking out of your ass because none here really knows more than what Hawk has chosen to tell us. |
