I'm looking for someone who wants to run up and down Golden Ears with me. The uphill will probably be more of a fast hike.
I'm a 2 Time KneeKnacker finisher, but not incredibly fast. (8:15 PR)
I live in Mission. (31 yrs, male, married). I have hiked Golden Ears several times, but not in the past 10 years.

| I have been planning on running the Alouette Mtn. trail to the summit at some point this summer. Would you be interested in that? Congrats on doing the KK. |

For sure. I have been up Alouette a bunch of times too, but I've never run it. I usually do my long runs on Saturday mornings, but I can occasionally negotiate a Sunday with the wife and kids. Maybe next Saturday July 23rd? Email me.
I still want to do Golden Ears too if somebody wants to run it. |

If anyone else is interested in doing Golden Ears as a trail run, I just thought I would let you know that I did it solo on August 14th.
My plan was to turn around after 3 hours, and I stuck to the plan. I was just past the shelter when I turned around.
The round trip was just shy of 6 hours. Avg Heart Rate 138bpm. Here is the GPS track from my Garmin Forerunner.

I thought I would be able to run down, but it is a tough trail, especially on tired legs. |

| One more thing I just had to say. It has been more then 10 years since the last time I was up there, and I just can't believe how much the glacier has melted. Its like a barren wasteland up there now. |
