What peeves me is radio and television announcers who refer to the PATULLO bridge as the "Patella" bridge -- there's no second "A" and there's a "U" in the middle. Patella is a bone at the front of the knee -- I'd like to kick those announcers who can't read properly in their patella -- maybe that would smarten them up.

It's fRustrated or flustered, not fusstrated or flustrated, and it's nuclear, not nuke-u-lar

Seeing 'than' and 'then' get mixed up in print. They're different words and not interchangeable! I've heard people say it the odd time too, so maybe it's language evolution in action.

While we're on the topic of grammar, my annoyance is "your" vs "you're." They're 2 different words, people!

Ok, since we are on the grammar topic, one of my all time peeves is the disintegration of the phrase *going to*. Since when did *gonna* become a word used even by the highly educated?????

Ah, but the absolute worst is being and been -- as in "it's being a long time". Argh.

Well I was forced to do that (walk, anyway) during our snowy spell when our sidewalks were impassable due to ignorant/lazy homeowners and apartment managers who couldn't be bothered to clear their sidewalks as required by law. At least I could dodge out of the way of cars speeding down sidestreets, unlike some of the old people leaning on canes that I saw who were also forced out onto the road.

Hope noone minds POSTAL COMPLAINTS this time of year...

Couple days ago I opened the front door at around 10pm.
I seen this 4ft box staring at me from Nova Scotia I was shocked it was sitting out there all day and not stolen.

I wish the postal delievery folks would of taken this back to their establishment instead of leaving the box out in the cold visible to thieves all day / night, and in any weather they do that...

If it did get stolen it would of been a mess with xmas stuff.
I know its up to the sender to send registered.
I wish the postal outlet would of taken it back to their office for $2-$5 so I could reclaim it, where it would be safe.

Aces, it may not be Canada Post. My wife sells pampered chef, and today I received a parcel from Sears, both groups ship through UPS and they always leave their parcels on the front step when nobody is home. When they arrive, they put the parcel on your steps, ring your doorbell, and walk away without waiting for a response. Thankfully we have not had anything stolen yet, but I am sure it will be a headache when we do.

You are right militaryhiker, that is crazy how they do that...

Also I would like to add, I hate guys that get on my bumper, going back 10 years ago I'd jam on my brakes to shake the guy off of my bumper... However I am now 34 and when I am up in the mountains, I quite often pull over and let those types of people pass. Im in no rush, meet you at the top! Only I will enjoy the scenery getting there...

My neighbour had a parcel stolen that way. She only found out about it when someone in a neighboring complex found the item (happened to be a nice Christmas gift sent via Canada Post) smashed all over the underground garage, with her address on it. It really irks me when Canada Post leaves a parcel on the doorstep. Aren't they supposed to leave a notice so you can go pick up your parcel at the post office?
