Nice one, mick.
What a surprise to see the thread bumped. I have one from the fall from Burnaby Mountain.

I love any place with a great big volcano as the backdrop. My favorite light is early morning with the pinks and blues.

Some of my favorites witnessed were:

Sunrise and alpenglow on Mt Adams from the Klickton Divide / Goat Rocks Wilderness:

Sunset and sunrise from Image Lake, Glacier Peak Wilderness:

But you can take a great sunrise / sunset photo from anywhere given the right conditions. Our hands down winner for best sunset goes to Death Valley, the location was not that spectacular, but the conditions were right.

Here's my favorite sunset shots.

View from Mt. Baker.

Kakadu N.P. Australia.

Just a bit of filter abuse.

And some more Kakadu.

Wow!! What a set of photos!! Jase: those are amazing!
Another fine choice for a bump Mick. Perhaps a name change? Bump Range?? Mick Bump??
My very best sunset/rise shots are in print so cannot share those unfortunately, but here are a couple I do have.

All taken from Seymour at sunrise. CT meteor shower hike.
And figured I'd slip a moonrise one in too!

Sunset from Naramata looking toward Summerland

Returning from an afternoon of fishing at Chute Lake behind Okanagan Mtn. (caught a few little "pannies" at it's outfall) I noticed the sky turning that familiar colour foreshadowing these spectacular sunset shows, so quickly went to the top of Munson Mtn. ( the extinct volcanic cone with the PENTICTON lettering on it ), to capture the event.
