Hey Nomad ! Know what you mean about the drive. I work across the street from you.You know the place with the big red trucks. There is a certain young R.C.M.P.member that keeps complaining because I bust his radar gun every time I work afternoon shift... Keep telling him I missed the runway
Been driving that road for ten years every day and never get tired of the sights. It does get a bit hairy in black ice though.

Nice pictures, Russ. A couple of them look like they are from the Shoreline walk in Port Moody. Is that correct?

This is a rainy night picture. I'm sure it will be easy to recognize the locale.

Oops. I'm still learning. I still haven't quite figured out how to crop the photos properly on the computer.

Donna ,Shoreline walk is just down the hill from me.Been there fairly often but always leave the camera at home. I think it would be a great place for sunsets on CLEAR days. So I may give it a try sometime. I put the captions on my above pics so you know where they are from.
Here is one last one of the Dike at Pitt-lake near the canoe rental place.

Actually, it's on my parent's porch out in Belcarra. I was over one afternoon, saw it on the porch, and liked how it looked with the rain. The raindrops you see are actually droplets that stuck to the glass on the porch railings. It worked really well as a backdrop, I thought.

I actually did have my shutter set to about 1/4 second with the hopes of getting some of the actual falling raindrops, but they blurred right out. I prefer the shot I got from the shot I intended anyways

My sunset pics

Tower beach (near UBC) - overlooking Vancouver Island

View from Sunset beach - towards Kitsilano, Vancouver Island in the background

I wonder why they call this place the "Sunset beach"

Here's one I took from Rocky Point, Port Moody. This was on the night of our last sailing lesson.

Donna:in your quest to get THAT picture here is a link for you. Click on Vancouver and you can print out the times for the entite month.

Nomad : Great picture of Rocky Point. I live up on the hill above Newport Village so I can see I'll be spending some evenings at Shoreline Park or the pier.
