I'm looking for a used, good quality single person tent for backpacking and cycle touring. Something in the 3lb range would be fine. Must have aluminum poles and be long enough for a 6'3" person. No Bivys please. Lower Mainland only - email me. Thanks! |

I still say the Hennessey Hammock is a better one person shelter than anything that sits on the ground, and I'm 6'4; works great.

I have this one - a Northen Escape 4'6" x 7'2" "Bike'n Trail Tent" [Cdn tire].
Here is a shot of it on the Stein:

And here is a shot of it on Baker:

Comes in around 3 lbs(?) but the poles are fiberglass(?).
A 6'2" friend borrowed it and he said he was comfortable but I'm 5'6" and think it's just big enought for me.
On the other hand, another friend borrowed it and did the West Coast Trail with two of them in it.
Sturdy and waterproof but ventilation may be suspect.
$110 obo
