It's Spring time and the balloons are starting to pop.
Found these well helping Greyowl retrace TesKelly's route along the Lower Sumas Ridge Trail.

Good score. I found a nice popped gold one a few weeks ago near St Benedict as well.

Apparently party balloons like to go to the Coquitlam trails when they die: they were almost as plentiful as empty beer cans on (and off) the trail!
Found a bunch in various places around Cypress Lake and Mountain.

Total capture: 4 partials with ribbons, 2 partials with string, 1 mylar, 1 lone ribbon, and 1 tinsel streamer.

Yes, I think since Mick stopped doing the running totals nobody picks them up any more.
Found and packed out another.

I see this topic "pop" up from time to time, so I thought I would add to it. Was at the Elk River Trail on Friday morning embarking on a trip to the Elkhorn ( TR to follow soon) in Strathcona Park. I saw this orange balloon with string hung up in a tree and couldn't resist....
