Ah, and I see that Wildman got an honourable mention for finding a beachball. Not sure if something like that is in the cards for this find:

Found this inflatable boat in the forest more than 50m above Eaton Lake, complete with one and a half paddle. Someone likely dumped it after it sprung a leak, rather than carry it down from the lake. Yuck!

I don't suppose it flew up here and it was no longer inflated. However, a rope was attached.

I can't believe I actually packed it up and carried it the two hours down from the lake -- but I really did! It was quite heavy and awkward, with the paddles and all.

Its been a while for me but here is one found on Grouse courtesy of the North Shore Credit Union:

It was tied to a branch as sort of a trail marker but I removed it so it could not be claimed twice.

My first one! I am a balloon virgin no longer.

Discovered during an illicit bushwhack (somewhere around 400m and below a unique people moving device)

Never really looked into where this thread was. Heard about it, and knew I had a pic to post... Finally, here it is:

The good news: I picked up 2 balloons in this canyon. The bad news: I only took photos of the lower valued one.

Orange, regular balloon, partly filled, with ribbon. Buckskin Gulch, Utah, March 1, 2007. Looks like a measly 6 points to me. (The other one I found was a partly inflated mylar, with ribbon. Dang!)

Thanx for the reminder Mick.
Found this one on top of Paleface Peak.

Oh, and forgot about this partial one going up Evans Peak with Karl.
Karl couldn't believe how I spotted it and he missed it.

Didn't realize I already posted that one on page 10.

But this one below and the one above are new entries, Mick.
Found last Sunday on a Hanging Lake recon.

If I had known you were counting points I would have submitted earlier. Also, I had no idea that I could get points just for ribbons. Next time.

Found on Dilly Dally trail above Buntzen, a short distance above 157 lookout on the old road section. More inflated than not, with ribbon attached. Carried it home inflated (do I get points for that?)

Sorry I don't have an in situ photo. My camera memory is somewhat limited. But I can see it's a priority. Much more important than views. So, next time.
