here are some pics of what i hike often around where i live. jsut basically sharing, but would love some pointers on how to make my pictures better. i am curently trying to figure out how to stop the white sky from fading out the trees, in time.
heres a few random pics that i consider some of my better, although i can see lots that could be improved. non are photoshoped, but they are all scalled down to 700 pixels as their biggest dimension for the net. the pics are normally 2592X1944. i guess some quality is lost but i dont notice it. again, pointers would be supoib!
some cliff soemwhere out here in the mountains in teh sooke hills. there is a drop of probably a couple thousand feet in front of the car and the hills in front looked to be about 3-5km if you were to fly straight acroos. hard to tell though.
couple larger trees. i was snoozing on a log overhanging a river and was sooooo relaxed. woke up and saw basically exacly whats in the pic.

grant creek, by shawnigan lake VI
trying my hand at being artsy. this is how a lot of my more longer distance shots turn out. they kinda look washed out :( i know htey say its not as good to do things mid day, but i want to be able to seen as i am not a mornign person and a couple hours close to dusk just isnt enough time. cedar tree. again the washed out look with the branches over teh cloudy sky.
thanks for looking :) |
