McDonald Falls

Short, steep trail leading from Lost Creek Road down to Davis Lake.

Directions

Located in Mission, near Stave Lake. Drive east of Mission on Highway 7. After approximately 6.5KM you turn left on Sylvester Road. Travel along Sylvester Road for approximately 13KM. The road will become Lost Creek FSR. Follow Lost Creek FSR 2.4km to bridge. Look for pullout/parking area on the left, hidden trailhead located next to it.

Details

Short (<1km?) trail leading from Lost Creek FSR's bridge over Murdo Creek. Halfway down it passes a waterfall (McDonald Falls) before reaching the lake. There is some "wilderness" camping at the lake, but it is relatively popular with the party and 4x4 crowds. The road to the bottom of the falls is about 150m.
