Elevation Gain 1583m (258m from the Macdonald-Webb col)

After the lake the trail gets much steeper. It is still in good condition though, and well marked except at the beginning. It gains elevation pretty quickly and soon you are able to get some good views of the ridge to the south. If you need water don’t bother filling up at the lake or the little streams that come down the mountain. About 20 minutes up the trail you will cross a very nice stream with good, clean water. After you first meet the stream you will climb a bit more until you enter a big bowl with the ridge above. The stream runs right down the middle of it through the boulders.

This part gets pretty steep, but slow and steady rewards you with beautiful views of Webb and MacDonald.

From the ridge it only takes about 45 mins or an hour to reach the summit of Webb. Be careful as there is no real trail that leads up and the mountain is very sandy. The sand is kind of like little ball bearing against the rock.

The peak is stunning offering views of Macdonald, Lindeman, and Baker.
