||Linear - Return
The trailhead can be discovered from the Banff Springs Golf Course just behind the first green. The Mount Rundle Trail splits left from the Spray Valley Trail shortly past the golf course.
The ascent is a steady, arduous climb up the southwest slope of the mountain. Along the route, watch for good views of the Spray Valley and Banff Townsite. At the 5 km mark the trail ends (at 1830 m), but for experienced climbers the peak lies another 1120 meters above (2949 m).
*Warning: Many experienced climbers have lost their lives on this climb.
