Details
You start at the end of the Mount Norquay Road before following Forty Mile Creek northwest. Some early elevation gains are then lost as you drop to the creek behind Mount Norquay. At just under 6 km, you reach the junction with the Edith Pass trail.
Another trail branches west in another 9.5 km, leading to Mystic Lake. There is also a campground here. Continuing straight, the summit is reached in another 6 km and you have an excellent view of Sawback Lake. From here, a horse trail leads left towards Sawback Lake, and a foot trail continues right, past Rainbow Lake before descending to Sawback Creek.
Add another 8 km beyond the pass and you will reach a junction. Right is Flint's Park, left leads to Badger Pass, and straight continues to the North Fork Pass.
This hike should be made on a dry day as it can get quite muddy in spots.
