Directions
Trailhead is on the west side of the Icefields Parkway, approximately 22 km north of Saskatchewan Crossing.
Details
This unmaintained trail follows an old fire road south along the North Saskatchewan River before turning southwest along the Alexandra River. Expect some deadfall and high creek crossings en route to the Warden's Cabin. The trail turns northwest to the spectacular Castleguard Meadows.
A more interesting (but difficult) route over the Saskatchewan Glacier should be left to experienced climbers.
