Follow Icefields Parkway to the Nigel Pass parking area located on the northeast side of the highway 8.5 km south of the Banff-Jasper Park boundary.

Note: A national park permit and backcountry camp permit are required.
This loop trail is one of Jasper's most popular backpack trips. The circuit includes one of the parks largest backcountry lakes and an extraordinary 13 km alpine traverse culminating on the parks second highest trail-accessible summit.
Sections of the Jonas Pass trail are occasionally covered with snow in early August. There are 6 campgrounds and reservations can be made. Check on trail conditions at the park visitor centre before embarking on this trip.
