Details
This trail leads from Indian River Road at the Baden-Powell Trail, connecting to the Old Buck trail which leads to the Deep Cove Lookout. Can be done as a partial loop via the Old Buck Trail.
Typical second growth forests are the views, as well as some creeks to admire. Like many North Shore trails, it's a good, steep workout too.
Opposite where the Baden Powell trail goes into the trees is an old road with some concrete blocks. Follow this old road (usually wet) up to a junction beneath the powerlines. Go straight into the bush on a narrow trail. Quickly this widens again into an old road which later become a trail after crossing Francis Cr.
