Directions
Follow Highway #1 (Trans-Canada) to North Vancouver, taking exit #14 for Capilano Road North. Follow Capilano Road to it's northern end, at the base of the Grouse Mountain Skyride. Both pay parking as well as free parking along Capilano Road is available.
The 232 and 236 busses operate to the Grouse Mountain parking lot daily. For bus schedules and information, visit the Translink website.

An epic trail to hike, with beautiful forests, rugged cliffs to admire, and boulder fields to negotiate. All topped off with some fine summit views. A real wilderness experience close to the city
As with all North Shore Trails, it becomes far more difficult in winter, with a number of potentially dangerous traverses and avalanche hazards in certain conditions. Be knowledgeable and prepared: ice axe, crampons would be mandatory and more gear is sometimes required. Lynn Headwaters Park generally closes this route in winter and spring months
Route is marked but not patrolled regularly, unsuitable for children.
As with the trail to Goat Mountain, you begin at the chalet and follow the road past the grizzly pen around the shoulder of Grouse Mtn. Sign in at the kiosk, and follow the main trail and yellow markers, ignoring all side trails until you reach the Goat Mtn/Crown Mtn trail junction. Here you will keep going straight and downhill, dropping into Crown Pass, where you'll intersect the Hanes Valley Trail. Here you go left and begin your climb up Crown Mountain, following markers and cairns to Crown's summit.
Elevation stats may be misleading, as they don't account for the 250m climb into and out of Crown Pass
