Details
The trail climbs through a second growth forest regenerated from clear-cutting in the 1920's. Heybrook is an excellent early season hike because its low elevation makes it one of the first trails on the district to become snow-free. The lookout structure is currently being restored and is closed, but the observation deck remains open to the public.
