Trail Starts in Cultus Lake Park. Turn left off the Columbia Valley Highway at Entrance Bay onto Edmeston Road. Park at the second gate on the right. Follow the horse Trail and keep left at two forks. There is a lot of walking on the horse trail (old logging road) and then there are two small slides across the road that look like small hills. The actual trailhead is just ahead of this on the right. The trail starts very steeply and then eventually levels off with a few more steep sections.

Details

There is actually three ways to get to Amadis.

The main route is from Edmeston Road, or turn left at Cultus Lake onto Sleepy Hollow Road. Follow it to where it becomes gravel and is now Vance Road. Further up the road is the army base called OPSEE. Follow the right fork in the road where the Army Base fence goes. At the end of the fence is a parking area. There is another parking area further up the road if you are driving a truck go to it but if you have a car park at the first parking area.

This route is much shorter but alot steeper on the road part than from Edmeston Road. The road is "V" shaped because of motorbike and quad traffic and water run off. Beware of wild dogs in the area.

At the upper parking area there is a very old FSR that is hidden by logs across the start of it branching to the left of the main road. This is the old Liumchen Valley FSR. You can access Amadis from the end of this road with 15 minutes of bushwacking. This route is the easiest and shortest of the routes and Amadis can be reached about two thirds of the time that the other routes take.
