Directions
This trail can be started from the parking lot at the top of Signal Hill, or from Battery Road in the east end of St. John's next to the harbour. The route below is described starting from the Signal Hill parking lot.
Details
From the parking lot at the top of Signal Hill take the path descending towards the ocean. Follow the path around the side of the hill towards the narrows, gradually descending closer and closer to the ocean. Once through the narrows, the path comes out into the narrow streets of the Battery neighbourhood. Follow the street along the side of the hill until you see a set of stairs ascending to your right. Climb the stairs and take the path back towards the side of the hill. The path connects with the access road to the top of Signal Hill. Walk the road up past the visitor centre to the top of the hill to complete the loop.
