Eric Lake Area:

* Corduroy Road: Remnants of the 1908 road which connected the south end of Eric Lake with the San Josef store and post office.

* Wharf: Located at the south end of Eric Lake. Transportation link during peak years of population before the trail was constructed.

* Giant Sitka Spruce: On east side of the trail 20 min. north of Eric Lake camping area turnoff. Tree measures 7.2 metres in circumference.

Fisherman River Area:

* First Dyke - Large mound of rocks runs 720 metres across the lagoon just east of the middle arm of the Fisherman River. Completed in 1899.

* Boiler - Lodged in the riverbank on the north side of the middle arm of Fisherman River. Used by Jensen for his milk condensery of sawmill 1898.

Hansen Lagoon Area:

* Second Dyke - Raised shoreline along the nothwest shore of Hansen Lagoon. Completed in 1905, built to reclaim land for pasture.

* First Dyke - Large mound of rocks runs 720 metres across the lagoon just east of the middle arm of the Fisherman River. Completed in 1899.

* Boiler - Lodged in the riverbank on the north side of the middle arm of Fisherman River. Used by Jensen for his milk condensery of sawmill 1898.

Experiment Bight Area:

* The trails in Cape Scott Park start at the parking lot and continue to Cape Scott 23.6 km away. The trails are extremely muddy in some areas. From San Josef Bay, trails lead to Sea Otter Cove past the summit of Mount St. Patrick, a distance of 10 km, 5 hours.

* Plank Road - 1942 construction to transport goods between various WWII buildings.

* Building Ruins - Small trail off the main trail about 50 metres before Guise Bay to see a long rectangular building believed to be a store in WWII.

* Driftwood Fence Posts - Built by N.P. Jensen in 1910 in an attemplt to stabilize the sand dunes for pasture.

* Cougar Trap - A wooden A-frame structure used as a cougar trap is in the sandneck. A cougar was captured and held for 10 minutes much to the surprise of the children.

* Native Midden - Bleached shell and bone mark the remnants of a native food fishing site at the west end of Experiment Bight.

* Cape Scott Lighthouse - Built in 1960
