Directions
From the Berg Lake Campground hike up the the Rangers cabin 3.4km to the Snowbird pass juntion. The trail heads southeast just across from the cabin towards the toe of the Robson Glacier.
Details
The trail runs southeast across alluvial flats near Robson Glacier's outlet stream.
The trail climbs onto the moraine and follows a fairly clear rocky path with great views of Robson Glacier for the next 3km.
Gradually you will come to a small water fall and this is a good place to rest, cool off, and replenish your water supply. At this point you will have come 5.6 km. The route ascends east on the left (north side) of the creek and takes you up to some beautiful meadows. The meadows are infested with marmots so make sure your camera is ready. At your back is Robson glacier, ahead of you is a vast alpine with your objective just above a steep boulder field. The boulder field is at an elevation of 2410m. The final ascent is quite steep as you make your way to a gap between Titkana Peak and Lynx Mountain. You will have gained 769m in elevation.
From here you have a commanding view of the Reef Icefield (25 square km.) and the head of the Coalman Glacier to the east. Titkana Peak is to your left at 2820 m. and if you have energy to spare makes a fine scramble to the top. From this vantage point you can overlook the entire Robson valley.
