Title: Day pack for Winter pursuits
Score:
Written by: ChuckLW Created Time:10/19/2011 12:49:14 AM
Strengths: Close comfortable ride with a place for everything
Weaknesses: Not weather proof & fixed capacity
Conclusions: I was looking for a good winter, day pack meaning one that was designed for easy attachment and carrying of everything from skis to snowshoes, crampons, shovel, ice axe and/or whatever. It needed to be a secure, snug fit for active endeavors, reasonable capacity and hydration compatible. I also wanted some outside pockets for shoulder season day hikes where I might want things such as bear spray ready to hand. Found them all in this well constructed pack. After a couple of test hikes I was very impressed with how comfortable it carries. Loaded up with about 15 pounds, the weight seems to disappear as soon as the pack is on your back.
