Description

A new high point in harness construction – instead of using bulky foam padding for comfort, the WARP technology used in this harness is designed to distribute load evenly across the entire structure. The wide waistbelt and legs spread the load from edge to edge rather than a thin stip of weight-bearing webbing in the centre. This makes it extremely light and incredibly supple. It conforms to your body while you're wearing it, and folds down compactly for packing.

Features

* Schoeller® Dynamic fabric, nylon webbing, polyurethane gear loops.

* Aluminum self-locking waist and leg buckles.

* Orange wear markers sewn into tie-in points and belay loop signal when harness should be retired.

* Two reversible, removable injection molded gear loops.

* Droppable adjustable leg loops.

Title: Ski mountaineering perfection
Score:
Written by: johngenx Created Time:8/25/2009 3:06:45 PM
Strengths: Light, fully adjustable, incredibly comfortable
Weaknesses: Expensive, rear elastic leg straps hard to put back on
Conclusions: This is my ski and general mountaineering harness. It's super light, uncannily comfortable, is awesome with a pack on thanks to only two gear loops, and looks good to boot.

Only two loops means no big rack, but for ski touring, no problem. For my glacier travel rack, it's perfect.

The WST system is superb. Hanging in the harness shows it to be more comfortable than any other harness I've owned.

The buckles work well and with a little effort, can be completely undone. The only thing that keeps this harness from five stars is the attaching straps for the leg loops to the waist belt. Once undone, they're very difficult to reattach. I ended having my partner do it for me. That's the one design that needs to be addressed in my opinion.

One other drawback is the price. It's close to 2X the price of most harnesses.
