Description

"Going Ultralight doesn't have to mean suffering, because we never skimp on our lightweight bags. We'd rather find a way to shave the weight and innovate on performance, like using Flex technology for our Nitro 30. We build in Flex between the shoulders and knees, so you get the comfort and thermal benefits, while saving precious ounces. Our smart Foot Box Venting lets you customize the climate in the lower half of your Nitro, without adding the weight of a full-length zipper. Ultralight speed with full-featured comfort."

Strengths: Comfy, very light, packs small.
Weaknesses: None that I can think of yet. *see edits*
Conclusions: I picked this bag up on a fantastic deal. I paid $225.00 total after receiving it at home. Purchased through the states. Canada pricing is 300.00 which is silly since the U.S. pricing it about $50.00 cheaper...anyways.

This bag is 800 down fill and compresses to next to nothing. Very light aswell at 1 pound 10 ounces. First impression of the bag was that it was very well made and looks good too. There is flex built in to the shoulders through the knees similar to the Mont Bell bags. I was able to stretch out the way I normally do which ended up allowing me to sleep very well. I can not sleep like a mummy. I found the bag plenty warm in temps that were a few degrees above 0, actually I was a bit sweaty from being too warm. I had to take off my thin shirt while in it. The bag handled the condensation in my tent with no problems.

I will keep this updated if things change.

**update. This sleeping bag is top notch and has kept me warm past the rating. Very comfortable bag and allows me to stretch out in the bag. It is not constricting at all for people like me that like to stick a knee or elbow out to the side. I like this bag so much that I will be replacing my -18 bag with a colder rated version of the Nitro 30. Top notch and keeping it at 5 stars.

**another update. This bag seems to be warmer than the rating, and very warm with some fleece on, or a toque. Fantastic bag, and final update unless some thing goes wrong with it.

Also should mention I have not had zipper snag issues as with some bags out there.

******additional edit. The seams are starting to allow feathers to leak through, hopefully this is not a sign of durability. I feel that a bag should last several years with lots of use before this starts to happen. Will keep updated.
