Unbelievable GPS reception. Great battery life. Intuitive button layout. |
| Weaknesses: |
Optional maps are expensive if you need them. |
| Conclusions: |
Do your own homework and you will find Garmin as a brand is the best in GPS. No software issues like Magellan. You get what you pay for. Excellent reception sitting in my livingroom. It can be used in your car as well but it is a little bit lacking, no voice instructions and I have found occasionally on back roads it wants me to back track when recalculating after not taking the road it suggested. It is a handheld GPS after all. Overall I wouldn't purchase any other GPS. I use it for geocaching, hunting and backcountry hiking.

| Strengths: |
External Antenna, Awesome accuracy and rugged construction |
| Weaknesses: |
No touch screen If that's what you desire |
| Conclusions: |
I have had this guy for 2 years now and have used it heavily for searching out Geocaches and for trail use and it still amazes me with it's accuracy and reception. I can't even count on one hand the times I've lost satellite reception. I have used the Colorado and the Oregon with less success on accuracy. Feature wise those two do more but if it's just a geocache your after or a trail to stay on or map out you still can't beat the 60 series Garmins in my opinion. I just checked and I have logged over 15,450km on this unit. And I don't use it in my vehicle for travelling just Geocaching and Hiking.
