DescriptionThe Electron will surprise you, both for its great design and because it comes with a Fast Pack Footprint, Portable Attic, and Coffee Slingand the accessories are free! We build the two-door, twin-vestibule Electron out of burly 70-denier tent and fly fabric, with DAC Featherlite Poles for high-quality strength and light weight. Tent Guard with Ultra Fresh thwarts mildew and mold, while Clip-Locs and Swift Clips increase strength and speed pitching the tenta real plus in inclement weather. Same great Sierra Designs construction and materials as our other three-season tents, but with the added value of free accessories.

| Strengths: |
vestibules, ease of setup, setup versatility, weather resistance, value |
| Weaknesses: |
a little heavier than some ultralightweight shelters |
| Conclusions: |
We've had this tent for a few seasons and it has never let us down. It is very weather proof and sheds wind quite well, although I don't think I'd use it if a lot of snow was expected due to the flattish spot on the top of the fly.
The living space is totally comfortable for tent-bound days, and the availability of the two vestibules is something I will always look for in future tents.
We've had this on week-long backpacks and weekend overnighters in the alpine and on on the beach and it has always performed up to my expectations.
This tent is a real value winner, as it's only 300 dollars and that includes the tent footprint which I would consider to be mandatory unless you're only going to pitch it on grass.
I have nothing but good things to say about this tent.
