Description

The Hiker Pro includes extra features for higher performance and improved versatility. This basic, low-maintenance, field-serviceable microfilter is extremely resistant to clogging, thanks to a high-surface-area pleated filter cartridge that is surrounded by a fine membrane. The Hiker is effective to 0.3 microns, protecting against protozoa and larger bacteria.

Conclusions: Great filter for treating water for groups. I take mine when I'm out the my family. I have never had any major problems with this filter aside from a punctured hoseline and I replaced that myself. The prefilter can be a hassle getting it to sink/float in the right depth of water and it is easily plugged. I don't use the bottle adapter as I find it is superfluous.
